ECHOES OF THE LITTLE BIG HORN SERIES
Upton and Sons, Publishers will present Custer classics that have stood the test of time and are the cornerstone of any library devoted to the Battle of the Little Big Horn. The publisher's criteria for selection of books to the series includes: long out-of-print, expensive (when you can find a copy) and quality content. Some volumes will, sometimes, include corrections and additions the author planned to make in later editions. The volumes will be published occasionally, but always with high quality design. The press run will usually be 750- 1000 in the trade edition. A special signed, numbered leatherbound limited edition of only 50 copies is usually offered for collectors that are looking for something special. Standing Orders for both the trade edition and the limited edition are available to insure the customer of obtaining a copy while they last. Dealer inquiries welcome.

Upton, Richard. CUSTER ADVENTURE. Since its publication in 1975, The CUSTER ADVENTURE has been acclaimed as one of the finest, if not the finest concise overview of the historic battle. Written especially for the Custer Battle Centennial in 1976, the author presents an account of this amazing event that recaptures those exciting days of Custer's Cavalry. This is an exciting, accurate and responsible account of the Custer Fight, including events leading up to and following the battle. Written for the person who has time to read only one Custer book and wants to know what happened at the Little Big Horn in 1876. Synthesizing the writings and accounts of soldiers and Indians the Billings Gazette reports,"…Upton judiciously selects from journals and diaries to allow for colorful reconstruction without exploiting the men and their ideals. The book emerges as a new and exciting piece of writing which should aid both Custer scholars and those who like an adventure tale. And there is a careful respect for the two cultures, Anglo and Indian, as their separate perspectives interpret the battle." Profusely illustrated by Montana's late great artist, J.K. Ralston, which includes a color reproduction of his "After the Battle" along with 20 pen and ink sketches. VOLUME 4 IN THE ECHOES OF THE LITTLE BIG HORN SERIES. Manion, John S. GENERAL TERRY'S LAST STATEMENT TO CUSTER. The first printing of an edition originally published in 1983 as a 51-page booklet. Manion's account answers questions raised in the original (and hard-to-find) paper printing. According to the author, there were two Adams sisters, and Mary Adams was present on the Far West when Custer was given verbal orders by General Terry. Furthermore, it was Maria Adams who was present at Fort Lincoln when the news of the disaster at the Little Bighorn reached that post. General Terry's Last Statement to Custer is one of the most interesting and original research project of recent years. Photos, illustrations, maps, index illus dj. ISBN 0-912783-38-8. illus 182pp. $37.50
