Manion, John S. GENERAL TERRY'S LAST STATEMENT TO CUSTER. The first printing of an edition originally published in 1983 as a 51-page booklet. Manion's account answers questions raised in the original (and hard-to-find) paper printing. According to the author, there were two Adams sisters, and Mary Adams was present on the Far West when Custer was given verbal orders by General Terry. Furthermore, it was Maria Adams who was present at Fort Lincoln when the news of the disaster at the Little Bighorn reached that post.
